III FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE VIDEO ARTE

BASES
PARTICIPANTES:
Podrán presentarse a esta convocatoria artistas de cualquier nacionalidad, sin límites de edad ni sexo.
OBRAS:
1. Cada artista o colectivo de creadores podrá presentar tantas obras como desee para su consideración por el comité de selección del Festival.
2. Se convoca en las siguientes variantes genéricas:
• Monocanal o Monobanda
• Video performance
• Video danza
• Video instalación (video-escultura y video-environment). (En esta particularidad el autor se hará responsable del equipamiento, traslado y montaje de los mismos. Los organizadores brindarán los espacios, establecerán las coordinaciones pertinentes y el apoyo de personal especializado).
3. Para las obras instalativas, se requerirá enviar un proyecto que incluya la siguiente información: planos, fotos, videos y breve descripción del funcionamiento.
4. La temática será libre, al igual que el tiempo de duración de las obras.
5. Las obras se presentarán en soporte de disco, en el formato de DVD, en la mejor resolución.

Acompañando a cada obra se requiere el FORMULARIO DE INSCRIPCIÓN PREVIAMENTE FIRMADO, debiendo incluir además:
A: Currículum profesional del autor u autores.
B: Foto de las obra(s) en formato digital (JPEG a 300 DPI). En un CD independiente.
EVENTO TEÓRICO:
En el marco del Festival se desarrollarán sesiones teóricas en las que participarán artistas, curadores, especialistas y críticos invitados al evento.
ADMISIÓN:
1. Sesionará un jurado de admisión designado por el Comité Organizador.
2. Los artistas nacionales e internacionales interesados en asistir al Festival, con independencia de la inscripción o no de sus obras en el programa del evento, deberán costear sus gastos de pasaje, hospedaje y alimentación. En tal caso, previo contacto con el Comité Organizador, se podrá coordinar la reserva de hospedajes en hoteles y villas de la ciudad.
3. La cuota de inscripción o colegiatura, obligatoria para todos los participantes, será de 50 pesos (MN) para participantes nacionales y de 50 CUC para participantes extranjeros. Los acompañantes nacionales o internacionales interesados en participar en el Festival, deberán abonar las cifras antes declaradas, según sea el caso.
4. El Comité Organizador del Festival se reserva el derecho de invitar a aquellos artistas, curadores, especialistas y críticos nacionales e internacionales que considere oportunos para la realización del evento.
5. El cobro de la colegiatura se realizará en el momento de la acreditación del Festival, y otorga derechos a:
a. Recibir la acreditación, catálogos y asistencia a conferencias.
b. Cóctel de bienvenida, y clausura.
c. Traslado en ómnibus Habana-Camagüey y Camagüey-Habana y a las diferentes subsedes.
d. Un recorrido por el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad.
e. Participación en las actividades colaterales y fiesta de clausura.
6. Todas las obras en su registro digital pasarán a formar parte de los archivos del Festival para su utilización en presentaciones culturales, sin fines comerciales y como parte del evento en su modalidad itinerante.
7. Las obras seleccionadas se darán a conocer a través de los medios y las direcciones de correo de los autores participantes.
PREMIOS:
1. Se otorgará el premio Principal del Festival, y tantas menciones como se estime.
2. Se otorgarán además varios premios de instituciones nacionales e internacionales, consistentes en tecnología, financiamiento y promoción. Estos serán otorgados según los criterios de cada institución auspiciadora de los premios.
FECHA DE ENTREGA: Las obras serán aceptadas hasta el 20 de agosto del 2010.

NOTA: La omisión o falsedad de cualquier dato solicitado supondrá la exclusión del concurso. No serán consideradas las aplicaciones que no estén completas.

GUIDELINES
Eligibility
This festival is open to all video-art makers around the globe, without age or sex distinctions.
Submission
1-Every artist or group of artists will have the choice to submit one or several works, while all works to be sent are originals.
2-Works to participate will be enclosed in the following genres:
• mono-channel or mono-band
• video performance
• video dance
• video installation, (in both of its variants: the video-sculpture and the video-environment; in such a case, it will be the author’s full responsibility to transport and ensemble the piece. The organizing committee will provide the spaces, coordinate all needs and provide the supporting specialized personnel for the ensembling).
3- Art-works will be no topic or time restricted.
4- All works will be presented on disk, in the formats: DVD

together with the already filled-out registration form and also:
A author’s or authors´ professional résumés
B a brief description of the idea or topic resulting in the piece
C photos of the art-work or works – in digital format (JPEG 300 DPI)
Space for discussion and debate
Throughout the festival, an international event for discussion and debate will take place with the participation of
all artists, academics and critics invited to the Festival.
Admission of works
1-A jury, designated by the organizing Committee, will be appointed for the admission of the art-works, which will be formed with relevant personalities in the world of arts.
2-The Festival will accept a determine number of selected artists invited to the event. For such a purpose, a small participation fee may be required, so as to cover accommodation, transport and nourishment expenses. Thus, the Committee representing this Festival will have the right of selecting the participating artists, and will also allow the inclusion and participation of other figures invited to the event only when they assume to pay for their full expenses. Any artist in such a position will need to contact the Organizing Committee, previously, to coordinate all choices possible to be accommodated in hotels or city private lodgings (very comfortable not expensive B&B) any other needs. In both of cases, a participation fee of the equivalent to $50.00 cuc which will allow a participation diploma, registration, catalogues, the attendance to conferences, welcome and farewell cocktails, city tour and the participation in the rest of the activities attached to the development of the festival (to be paid at the moment of the registration).
3- All Works, once participating, will be part of the festival records, to be used and exhibited under no commercial interest whatsoever and only for cultural and educational purposes and as part of the itinerant concept the festival provides.
4- The selected works will be announced through the media and the email.
Awards:
1.It will be granted the Main prize of the Festival, and so many mentions like be considered.
2. they will also be granted several prizes of national and international institutions, consistent in technology, financing and promotion. sponsor institution of the prizes. and will arise from the criteria of the different institution representatives involved.
Deadlines Art-works will be accepted until Agost 20th 2010 and no further on.

NOTE: Any omission or falseness in the personal information requested will presuppose the immediate exclusion from the festival, incomplete applications will be disregarded.
